person_add TYPO3 Extension by WACON

FE User Registration

With our TYPO3 extension "feuserregistration", website visitors can register themselves as frontend users – via a simple form and legally compliant double opt-in. The new user is only activated after confirming the registration email.

How Does Registration Work?

Visitors fill out a registration form on the website. Immediately afterward, they receive a confirmation email with a verification link – the so-called double opt-in process. Only once this link is clicked does the extension automatically create the corresponding frontend user record in the TYPO3 system and activate it. This ensures that only the person who actually has access to the given email address gets registered.

mark_email_read

Optionally, you can set a notification address that automatically receives an info email on every signup and/or completed confirmation.

Installation and Setup

Setup takes just a few steps:

  1. Install the extension via Composer: composer req wacon/feuserregistration

  2. Run the DB analyzer in the TYPO3 maintenance module so the new database tables get created.

  3. Create a folder for frontend users, set up a registration page with the plugin "Feuserregistration: Display a registration form", and a separate verification page with the plugin "Feuserregistration: Verify a registration".

  4. Include the extension's static TypoScript in your own template and adjust the available constants as needed.

  5. In the settings, enter the ID of the verification page in the "Verification Page" field – without this, confirmation cannot work. Optionally, set a notification address for new signups under "Emails".
