WACON Internet GmbH strives to make its website accessible in accordance with the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) and the BFSG Website Ordinance (BFSG-WebV).

This website is partially compliant with the requirements of standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03), which the BFSG refers to.

Non-Accessible Content

Some content is currently not yet fully accessible:

  • PDF documents published before 2025-05-28 are not consistently accessible.
  • Some interactive elements do not (yet) offer full keyboard operability.
  • Alt text for images has been added retroactively for some articles; a complete review is in progress.
  • Videos currently do not include subtitles or audio descriptions.

Reasons for Exceptions per Section 3 BFSG-WebV

Full implementation of accessibility for all content currently represents a disproportionate burden within the meaning of Section 3 BFSG-WebV, in particular:

  • Some older PDF documents or third-party content (e.g. embedded map services or videos) can currently only be made accessible retroactively with disproportionate effort, technically or organizationally.
  • For certain components (e.g. interactive maps, third-party widgets), there is currently no accessible alternative without significant loss of functionality.

We are continuously working to remove these barriers within our means.
