Starting Point
VISUM-USA's previous website was conventionally structured: a wide sidebar navigation with many sub-items, a text-heavy homepage, and a rather understated look. Functional, but no longer up to date – and technically not on a current TYPO3 version.
Design Specification
Unlike most of our projects, the new design here didn't come from us but was already specified by the client: a clear red-and-navy brand world matching the WINHELLER law firm, with prominent calls to action ("Schedule a free callback", "Book an appointment & apply for a visa") right in the header. Our task was the complete technical implementation of this design in TYPO3 – including every detail, from the mega menu to sticky elements and responsive behavior.
Implementation in TYPO3
For the relaunch, we built a custom TYPO3 sitepackage based on Content Blocks that maps the specified layout building blocks (hero, mega menu, CTA bars, team and form pages) as reusable, editorially maintainable content elements. This preserves the client's strict design specification while letting the editorial team maintain content themselves going forward, without developer support.
Result
The result is a modern, fast-loading website with clear user guidance toward the firm's central goals: an initial phone consultation and appointment booking. The technical foundation is maintainable, secure, and ready for the website's continued growth.
