Given the sensitive subject matter and its high data-protection requirements, a strict Content Security Policy (CSP) was defined and implemented.
It restricts which resources may be loaded in users' browsers, reducing the risk of cross-site scripting and other attacks.
This technical measure was a key building block in meeting the topic's high protection requirements.
Custom TYPO3 Extensions for Privacy and Better User Guidance
For GDPR-compliant cookie consent, our own extension wacon_cookie_management was used.
To better guide users through complex technical terms, our tooltip extension was also integrated, providing explanations directly within the text.
Result
The result is a modern TYPO3 information portal that presents complex content clearly, quickly, and in a user-friendly way. The technical implementation combines an individual design with a stable TYPO3 foundation, optimized performance, and a high level of security.
For WACON, the project is a good example of how demanding design and security requirements can be reliably implemented with TYPO3 — even in sensitive fields such as medicine, research, and data protection.
